2024 Artefacts: Gjallarhorn 1 oz Silver BU – the mythical horn of Heimdall, the guardian of Asgard and protector of the Bifrost bridge, connects the world of gods with Midgard, the realm of humans. Heimdall, possessing exceptionally keen hearing and sight, ensured that no threat could breach Asgard. During Ragnarök, the ultimate battle between gods and giants, it is the sound of Gjallarhorn that will alert the gods to the impending doom. The powerful, sky-rending sound of the horn will echo throughout all nine worlds, signaling the inevitable end of times.
The horn features selected stories related to Ragnarök, the epic end of the world. The obverse depicts the arrow that killed Baldur, as well as the ship Loki took to Yggdrasil to engage in the final battle with the gods. This imagery also portrays brave warriors sent by Odin, struggling against a monster that symbolizes chaos and destruction.
The reverse of the horn showcases Sköll and Hati devouring the Sun and the Moon, along with the dramatic battle between Odin and Fenrir, which ends with the tragic death of the god. It also includes Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir, wrapped in the body of the serpent Jormungand, symbolizing that the triumph of good over evil comes at a great cost.
Designed by Mateusz Frąckowiak, the coin will be minted in an edition of 5 000 pieces. Its authenticity is confirmed by the included Certificate of Authenticity. We encourage you to purchase our coins exclusively from verified sources, the list of which can be found on our website.
