In 2014, The Perth Mint released its first ever antiqued coins in the Gods of Olympus series. The coins were immediate sell-outs! The Gods of Olympus series is back in a bullion series, with Apollo as the ninth release.

Housed in a protective plastic capsule.
Obverse: Displays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her years of reign: 1952-2022, the monetary denomination, the coin's weight and fineness, and the 2023 year-date.
Reverse: Depicts Apollo, the god of prophecy, music, archery, healing and protection. Apollo is shown playing his lyre, a small U-shaped harp, while strolling through a pastoral setting. Also shown is Daphne, a nymph who fled from Apollo's love. As the legend goes, Daphne transformed herself into a laurel tree just before Apollo catches her. The design also includes the inscription "APOLLO" and The Perth Mint's "P" mint mark.
